It’s been a hot minute since Justin Timberlake released an album… 20/20 Experience LP anyone? Justin has finally decided that his fans have waited long enough, and announced his new album Man of the Woods will be released February 2nd, with the first single being released January 5th.
Many fans are speculating that the album is going to showcase a downhome version of the radio star due to an interview. Timberlake told 97.1 AMP Radio’s Morning Show in 2016, “I think where I grew up in America has a lot of influence,” he said. “Growing up in Tennessee — very central of the country — Memphis is known as the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll, but also the home of the blues, but Nashville’s right down the street so there’s a lot of country music.”
Naturally, the Twitter universe has erupted with mixed thoughts about the record, one of the funniest reactions being, “Justin Timberlake goes on ONE hunting trip and suddenly he’s Blake Shelton?”
That being said, Timberlake hasn’t outright stated his latest record will be country, but he did say that it will have Southern vibes…and rumor has it, there might even be a possible Chris Stapleton collaboration!
